10 card rummy is an exciting rummy variant similar to the 13 Card Indian rummy. Both these rummy variants follow a similar set of rules. As the name suggests, 10 cards are dealt to each player instead of 13 cards in the Indian rummy. So, if you are familiar with 13 cards rummy, you can quickly learn how to play 10 cards rummy.
How is 10 Card Rummy played at Junglee Rummy?
10 Card Rummy Game Play
Players need to make One pure sequence and arrange the remaining cards into sequences or sets. Once the objective is complete, you need to discard one of the cards into the finish slot and declare the cards. If all the cards are grouped into valid sequences and/or sets, you win the game with zero points.
How are scores calculated in 10 Card Point Rummy?
The first player who finishes the game after completing the objective wins the game. The winner gets zero points.
If a player drops in the first move, he/she gets 20 points and the game continues till a single player finishes the game after completing the game objective. 40 points are given to players who drop after their first turn.
If a player declares the game without meeting the objective, he/she gets 60 points and the game continues till a player emerges as the winner.
Every card has a certain number of points. The losing player gets the points carried by the cards in his/her hand. Face cards have 10 points each:
Ace of any suit carries 10 points each
King of any suit carries 10 points each
Queen of any suit carries 10 points each
Jack of any suit carries 10 points each
All other numbered cards have points according to their numeric value. For example, card 2 of any suit carries 2 points and card 6 of any suit carries 6 points.
Jokers (Wild and Printed) carry zero points.
The scores of losing players are calculated by adding the points carried by the cards in his/her hand: In case if a losing player does not have a pure sequence in his hand, then the points of all the cards are calculated. A Player can lose by a maximum of 60 points in this game.How are winnings calculated in 10 Cards Points Rummy?
One winner wins the entire cash amount at the end of every 10 Cards Points Rummy game. Winnings are calculated by using a simple formula:
Winnings = (Sum of points of all opponents) X (Rupee-value of the point) – JungleeRummy Fees
For example, six players play on ‘Rs. 1 per point’ table and a player declares the game. Now the winning player wins all the cash lost by the losing players. If five players lose with 5,10,15,20 and 60 points respectively, the winner’s cash amount will be calculated as:
1 x (5 + 10 + 15 + 20 + 60) = Rs. 110
This amount will be credited to the winner’s JungleeRummy account immediately after the deduction of JungleeRummy Fee.
A player can get a maximum of 60 points in 10 Cards Points Rummy irrespective of the cards that the player holds. For example on a “Rs. 2 point table” a player can lose maximum by Rs. 120
Every player has the option to drop out during their turn. To drop the game, a player has to click on the “Drop” button to drop out of the game.
If a player drops a rummy game in the very first turn, without picking a card, he/she lose with 20 points.
If a player drops the game after the first turn or drops after picking a card, he/she lose with 40 points.
If a player misses three consecutive turns, he/she is automatically dropped out of the rummy game with 40 points.
