21 Cards Rummy

As the name suggests, 21 cards are dealt to each players. Similar to the 13 card rummy, the objective of the game is to meld the cads into sets sequences. In the 21 Card variant, players need to make 3 pure sequences and rest of the cards need to be arranged into sets and sequences. Apart from the normal Jokers that are used in the 13 cards variant, additional ‘value cards’ are used in 21 cards rummy. These are as Upper Joker and Lower Joker which represents one rank above & below the cut joker respectively. The valid melds for 21 cards rummy are as follows:
- Three Pure Sequences and the remaining cards arranged in sets or sequences
- Three Tunnelas in separate groups. (Tunnela is the group of 3 cards of the same rank and same suit)
- Eight Dublees in separate groups. (Dublee is the group of 2 cards of the same rank and same suit)
- Eight Jokers in a single group.
