The game of Panguingue was very popular in Las Vegas and casinos in the south-west America in the 20th century and is still popular in many regions especially western United States and southern Florida. We at Junglee Rummy attempt to familiarize you with this online rummy game alongside providing the rummy game free online for your enjoyment.
Panguingue was traditionally played with eight 40-card decks (decks without any 8s, 9s, 10s, and jokers), that is, 320 cards in total. In some places, 5 or 6 decks of cards are used and the game is played by removing one set of Spades. Each player has to put a one-chip ante called the top. However, in some games each player puts a two-chip ante called double tops. 10 cards are dealt to each player and the players have the option to either fold or continue with the game. If a player folds, he/she loses the top (one-chip ante). Each player has to form melds of three or four cards of the same rank or sequences of running cards of the same suit.
Panguingue is quite different from other online rummy game like 13-card rummy on Junglee Rummy. Players need to draw a card from the closed deck or the top card of the discard pile. However, when a player draws a card form the closed deck, he/she has to use that card to make a valid meld on the table or immediately discard it. When a player melds 11 cards, he/she receives the tops along with additional payment from the active players.
