Rummy is a popular game with a strong following in India. The game of Indian rummy is often played in social gatherings and has been an integral part of the culture all over the world.

Indian rummy : Indian Rummy can be referred to as a refined version of the original game of Rummy. The game is played using 2 decks of cards. In Indian Rummy, even the Joker is extensively used as part of the game. There are mainly 2 Jokers in the game; first being the printed one, and the other being randomly selected before each game.

13 Cards Rummy : 13 cards Rummy is the most popular format of the game in India. The game is played using 13 cards with a single Joker, which is always selected randomly. The game is played with a single deck of cards; wherein, the printed Joker is not part of the game.

Gin Rummy : Gin Rummy is arguably the most popular format and is mostly played in the European countries. It’s usually played between 2 players using 10 cards each. However, in India, the game is not played in its original form but as a rummy variation.

Kalooki : Kalooki, also spelled as Kaluki or Kalookie is a game most popular in North America and European countries such as Jamaica and Greece, where they are commonly referred to as Kaluki.

Oklahoma Rummy : The Oklahoma Rummy is a variation of Gin Rummy played between 2-4 players with a standard deck comprising of 52 cards.

500 Rummy : 500 rummy game is also called 500 rum or Pinochle Rummy. 2 to 8 players can play the game; however, it is best for 3 to 5 players. In this online rummy format, the game is only over when the very last card has been put down.
