If you have been playing rummy for a long time and are fine-tuned with the ins and outs of the game, you must have realized that you don’t need Einstein’s brain to crack the code of the game.
Practice and observing opponents help you master the rummy card game over time.
However, if you are new to the game and are still struggling on cracking the secret codes to becoming a champion, this blog post is for you. Read on!
So How do you master the game?
Sounds pretty daunting, right? How the hell can anyone know what cards the others are holding? Not all of us are gifted with the all-seeing eye, isn’t it?
Well, obviously you can’t take a peek; however, you can keep a watch on the discard pile for clues.
Keep a watch on what cards are being picked and discarded by your opponents. Sure, it’s going to be confusing in the beginning, but with time, you should be able to master it.
Figure out what cards are being exchanged on the table and you will crack the first code.
Well, it’s simple. If you are to keep track of all the cards that have been discarded, it’s going to take a photographic memory to achieve that.
A more straightforward way to do that is to take a notepad and note down things.
Moreover, it’s not cheating in any form - you are just taking notes and playing the game using a scientific method that you have just devised.
All you are doing is keeping track of all the cards being discarded and planning your moves accordingly.
Simple as that!
Once a game is in full swing, sets get formed fast. But here’s the deal - you can’t win when you play online rummy for cash if you don’t have a pure sequence with another sequence.
So, rather than getting excited about sets being formed, you should focus on forming a pure sequence first from the very beginning of the game and then form another sequence and finally go for sets.
Remember, rummy is a game of skill, and there’s more to it than a deck of cards at play here. It’s your brain vs. the others'.
Play smart and improvise - that’s how you win.
Until next time...
Keep Playing, Keep Winning!
